When I was starting out, I had that done when I was in a Vampire with an instructor. I remember sitting there transfixed while he pulled out of a low level loop and being able to see no distance between us and the ground at the bottom of the pull out!
There is a drain pipe at the bottom of the Vampire fuselage and after we landed it was stuffed full of dirt and grass.
He did not seem to think anything of it, but I managed somehow to avoid flying with him again.
