I like the woman at the end. Walking to pub, sees what is going on down the road. Thinks "Oh iit's that silly sod with the chainsaw again". Then walks into pub as usual

He was asked to leave because he was smoking Unfortunately for him he picked a pub where most of the regulars have worse issues than him! It's a seriously rough *** pub
Oh and he got 3 years.
Only in Hull can you go into a pub with a chainsaw and end up getting your head kicked in

Bit of a strange comment based on a video. I think if that had happened in Glasgow, the chap would be in about a hundred pieces floating down the river Clyde. Had that happened in many areas of London, he would have been shot dead by a teenage hoody.
Not quite sure what makes an area 'hard' but its a nationwide issue, there are less desireable places every city/town you step foot in. The worst seem to be where there is a high rate of unemployment. No job, no prospects, nothing to lose attitude.

Strange chap.
Glad he got overpowered but i suppose if your going to do something like that, you need to be commited to the job, not just showing off, which i think he was, if he meant to cause harm, he could of and would of

My youngest is at uni in Hull. He lives near the uni, which is in North-West Hull.
Now I went to uni in Birmingham, and lived for a year just off the Trinity Road......think Burger Bar Boys and Johnson Crew.
And I have NEVER seen a place as depressed and downright scruffy as Hull......
