Default New gopro

My new gopro camera arrived today, well chuffed! Bought it for a snowboarding holiday coming up but planning to do some track days in the summer so it will come in handy for that.

I've used the 960 for a year and recently bought the HD 2. Cracking bit of kit.

They are awesome, got my gf the HD2 for xmas, £240 aswell lol. Got her the LCD screen too which is great for lining up shots. Takes the guess work out of it.

The quality is amazing! I love the time-lapse aspect of it too. You can get some great footage!

Just bought some Rain-X for the case so the water droplets bead off instead of sitting there ruining the view lol

Amazing video, anybody know where the place in the video that looks like basically a hole in a mountain is?. It looks like somewhere in Japan.

I get credit on this one, it's my winch and I'm towing him up.

This one's from the top of my head, no edit but quite scenic.

eek!

I'd like to disagree, but I did break my leg a month after recording that. Sep 2011.

However, it's not put me off. I'm 40 this year and as keen as ever!

Yeah, nice video Davy.

Touching 40 i feel this technology is 2.5 decades too late. Would've loved this during my 9 seasons in the alps & NZ, diving, travelling the world etc etc.

It's amazing how much technology has come on in the last 10 years. Digital cameras and video cameras are so cheap nowadays.

If you have facebook, you might want to be friends with them, as some of the video's of the day are pretty good. Users also post stuff that is worth a view.

They posted this image the other day, 50 cameras on a stick!

http://instagr.am/p/kkAf_/

Took me a while to realise why you would do that, then I saw how the 'arrays' worked.

Look about 34 secs in to this clip.....and keep watching. Stunning!

I won video of the day with this one http://vimeo.com/22846695 more to do with the content than the editing, it was thrown together the same day as the jump.

Nice one!

Do you get anything for that, or just a virtual pat on the back?

I have seen that before, either you posted it here, or I saw the link on facebook.

Pat on the back, 8,000 hits and I asked for some stickers, they sent an envelope full the next day. Also asked them to let me win the 'everything we make' daily comp but they were having none of it.
