Keep getting this update your information message whenever I log into paypal, supposdly due to new legistration I have to give more info ??!! have until the 7th january to do so. anyone else having this message when they log into paypal ?? what info are they actually after ??

sounds like a scam/phising - check the email address is kosher or call pp to confirm using their number, not the one on the email. log onto pp site as you would normally - not using the link on the email.

Never submitted any info as I too didn't believe it. Have not been asked since then and have used paypal on a weekly basis.

If they block my account, then I just won't use them anymore. I am not giving them anymore info, so it will be bye bye Ebay!

Yep its only when I have actually logged onto my account, as I say it still lets me use my account but says I will need to upadte some info by the 7th off january, and yep thanks for the warning regards dodgy emails but like to think I am wise to that and its only because its once I have logged onto paypal that I am taking any notice off it otherwise it would be going in the spam folder !!

If its the one I has a month back, then its just paypal wanting to confirm if using paypal for personal use or for comercial use. Not sure why it matters TBH to them as its a rip off either way.
I did all this through the paypal web site and not through the nagging emails I got off paypal.
The orig poster did say they where getting a message when logged into paypal and not not an email !

i have 2 paypal accounts and both were saying the same, i called paypal about it and they just told me to update the details then its fine. i think its pointed at using a personal account as a business.

its so the tax man can rod you that little bit more.

With my last sale on fleabay (old blackberry) in total, I ebay and paypal took over 13% of what I made.

That is just shocking.
