I've got one too..........
A mouse, or maybe more than one.
Saturday night it's inside, or behind, the gas fire in the living room.
Then, sunday morning, something is gnawing right next to my head when it awoke me at 0645.
I tore the drawers out of the bedside cabinet, but NO evidence whatsoever. No droppings, no gnawings, no shredded paper, nothing
But last night was horrendous.
The little b*gger was there again and again and again, every time I scared him away, back he came.
Then he was in the loft, and finally over on my wife's side of the room.
Now I have a problem: I can find absolutely NO evidence of him. I set a trap in the bottom of my bedside cabinet, near where I could hear the gnawing, scratching, but have caught nowt.
However, the wife has told me tha I must "Do something about that mouse!" (She is scared stiff of them)
What the HELL do I do?????????

Get mouse/rat poison from Tescos/Sainsburys, go up into the roof space and leave the trays along the edges or obvious run areas. They climb up the cavity walls, so chances are the gnawing you heard was from there.
Mouses are too small to pong when dead/decaying. Rats on the other hand....

Fearless Freddie brought one into the house the other day. He never kills them, just enjoys catching them and showing off afterwards.
The new kitten looked the mouse in the eye and gave it a friendly licking!
What a pair they are!!!
Mrs Leslie always catches the mice he brings in with an acquarium net and puts them outside in the hedge. Those mice must have posted up signs to say we are a soft touch!

LOL, must be the season, my lady freaked out when she saw one upstairs in our house friday night, caught 2 of the litlle buggers over the weekend. Never seen em in the house garage or garden before now! Homebase tip traps baited with good old fashioned cheese seem to be working well, she demanded they were caught and releaded not killed, didn`t have the heart to tell her they probably won`t make the night in the field with the temperatures of late.

"The secret"?
I wish this little fekker was secret. When he starts right next to my head when I'm asleep, it's awful.
I've put some poison down the gap between the floorboards and the wall at the back of the cabinet, (no skirting board), and will put out three traps tonite.
NOW my youngest is home from uni and says HE heard something big running about in our loft last night.
I guess a tray of poison up there might be some use too.
But he said it was too big to be a mouse, he thought it was KNOCKING...........I reckon we'd best get our crucifixes out

I've got three traps, but don't know where to PUT them: I've heard noises but always behind something like the gas fire, or under the floor, and haven't yet found ANY evidence that they are entering the property, at least the bit WE live in
No droppings, no smells, and no trails.
A trap under my bedisde cabinet caught nothing, ditto one near the gas fire.
So where do I put any traps?
So far I've put poison down in two places in the loft due to noises heard up there, (but again, NO evidence), and down the crack between wall and floor under my bedside cabinet.
Does anyone know how quickly the poison kills, since I heard him last night and he MIGHT have been eating it, then he was back again as lively as ever at 0600
