Kim Jong Il - he was great..... ;)
After the unfortunate (but not for us) demise of Kim Jong Il today,
The Herald Sun has published some astonishing 'facts' about the great leader.
What a guy

After reading about all his achievements I reckon we'll be seeing him again around Easter time.

Ha ha ha, some of those facts are brilliant. At least the Chuck Norris ones are believable.

The North Koreans seem to be very cut up about his death though. He must have impressed them well enough.

If they're not upset with his death, then it's time for some re-education!

Thing is, as a N. Korean "expert" said on Sky this morning, today is NOT the day to be caught grinning like a Cheshire cat in N. Korea ....
So I'd take all the "weeping and wailing" videos with a pinch of salt.

The late 'Dear Leader's' father, Kim il-Sung, is known as the 'Eternal Leader' and in the minds of the wretched North Korean people is invigilating and will continue to invigilate indefinitely (a necrocracy, I suppose). The son was of course born of supernatural means and regularly performed miracles including mustering up food out of thin air. The Father, The Son.......It's as if they took 1984 as a blueprint and had it superimposed with Christology. I imagine the founders coming up with the idea and looking at each other with half a smile asking "do you think we can pull this off?" and deciding that they'd give it a damned good go!
