I have a friend who had his porsche done and it was great, but like anything it dorsnt really matter so much about the product it's the quality of the worksmanship.
If you find someone who is good quality and well recomended then I'm sure you will do well.
Just done go to some geezer who makes it seem to good to be true.
Not the best time of year to get it done though, but a VERY good clean before hand goes without saying.

Im more than happy with the work they have done...
A friend of mine had his Range rover wrapped in brushed stainless..Not my idea of perfection, but you cannot deny the guys work who wrapped it,it does look awesome in a footballers wife kinda way..
Problem is i have only seen very recently wrapped cars...Dont want it too look shabby and discoloured after a year or two....
Bit of a leap of faith really...lol...

I've seen a couple of cars done matt black and they looked awesome. There was a link on here, i think, to a video showing a car being done some time ago. Some wrap inside all the door and boot openings, some just wrap a bit round the edges.
The main questions I would want answering would be: would the wrap affect the paint finish when it's removed after a couple of years and is it likely to pull paint off when it's removed.
I've seen a couple of threads on the Skyline forums where people have removed carbon effect wraps from roofs and bonnets and it has pulled big chunks of paint with it.

I guess its what your paint is like underneath..I have no doubt that if the paint is factory, then it will be fine..
Japanese import cars paint can be really bad,im not sure why but the amount of flaking roof's and cracking paint is obscene..
Im not worried about the paint coming off...Its the vinyl coming off and looking scruffy that worries me...lol...

i too have been thinking or wrapping, but what about stone chips and what not, like my scoob is white, say for instance i wanted matt black, after a few months etc on the motorway wont there be lots of white dots etc, and then how much of a pain is it to take off the affected area and re aply?
I just dropped my GFs car off this morning to get that wrapped as her Xmas prezy, she thinks its gone back to the garage for a recall. Hope she likes hot ultra metallic pink lol
£1200, I was tempted to go for matte white with gloss white decals, now that would be cool. Or brushed steel matte with chrome decals. The guy that is wrapping my GFs car showed me his truck that he had just finished, It was black with a printed photo of a lighting storm. looked amazing !!!
If you are going to wrap the car go for something different, If you want Gloss white then get it painted on, IMO. dont get me wrong I think it would look nice in Gloss white but when you park it next to someones painted white scooby it will show yours up. If you go for matte or ultra metalic or maybe a printed pattern then it will standout.
But like i said earlier in the thread, its not for a scooby...
The chances of parking next to another white Z3M coupe in this country??
Next to nil,i think there is only one other and its being rebuilt at the moment..
I would not pay the £3k+ to have the car painted..
Fair enough....

My point is Vinyl is not as good as paint.
My opinion as you have asked for it from people who have had it done is...
Yes its very good for a alternative look and to protect your paint underneath.
But I would not try to replicate a paint job respray. If I wanted my car white then I would save up and use paint.
Good luck Im sure you will make the right choice
This guy did the tints on my Beemer.. I have seen him wrapping cars and the finish is really good!
