I called into my local shop to put the lottery on. Dosey woman had also went in the shop leaving her kid in the car. Kid decided to let handbrake off.

My mother was sitting in my car, she said to the woman your car has just hit us, the woman said are you sure. The car had rolled back at least 3 car lengths from where she had parked it.

Miraculously there doesn't seem to be any damage done to mine although its hard to tell in the dark.

In some ways its lucky my car was parked there or her car could have rolled a considerable distance down a rather steep hill. Probably ending up in one of the elderly retirement bungalows.

And to top it off the kid was stood there laughing when I came out of the shop, I could of strangled the brat.

Lucky there is no significant damage.

I always leave the car in 1st gear when parked on a hill because handbrake cables have been known to snap.
