Coffin Dodger

So just back from the pub after a surf & turf washed down with 2.5 pints of Abbot ale (driving home later ). Very pleasant it was, but now I'm sat at my desk wondering what to do with myself.

Any sensible work is not advisable as it won't make much sense on Monday morning. Gone are the days I could while away the afternoon on here as nobody posts any more. I've got the taste for beer now but no more until I get home. Nowhere to hide at work so no sneaking off for an afternoon nap. Very frustrating

I don't think I'd trust myself to drive home after 2.5 pints of ale. Or does the indicate a taxi?

I agree.

2.5 pints at home on a Sat night with a curry is just for starters, BUT on a Friday evening in the middle of December it's not really a good idea to drive home.

The Drinkaware.co.uk calculator reckons 2.5 pints of 5% bitter is ~7.1 units. Searching around shows that 3 to 4 units is the legal limit for men (obviously depends on body mass etc etc). If it takes 1 hour to get 1 unit from the body (again an average), driving home around 6pm is going to be iffy...
