Sarkozy and Noyer know that the French banks are very poorly placed at the moment so they are just trying to direct attention at us instead,because it is easy to do and they hate our guts!

This is pure political posturing. Both Sarkozy AND Cameron are guilty of playing politics with this issue. You could almost imagine them having agreed to have a spat to improve their standings at home...do not fool for this people.

Build a false premise, that Cameron "has never exhibited any traditional Conservative values/policies" and then concoct an either/or fallacy, i.e. the alternative to the false premise is that Cameron is a Socialist. A classic non sequitur. It doesn't seem too unfair to coin this particular flavour of oft employed elliptical logic and flawed reasoning as 'Huttonsian'; in fact it has a certain ring to it.
