Sounds like it to me, 1 advantage of being the USA's lap dog, they like us, rather than the "cheese eating surrender monkeys"

Sarkozy and Noyer know that the French banks are very poorly placed at the moment so they are just trying to direct attention at us instead, because it is easy to do and they hate our guts!

Well they're not doing a very good job, all they're doing is acknowledging that they should to be downgraded.

FFS, now another one is at it:

French finance minister criticises 'worrying' UK economy

And apparently we have been described by their government as the only barrier to European union.... as I said in another thread... they were grateful for us being a barrier to that 70 years ago

It's the first story I've read that makes me think we must finally be doing something right.

The Frenchies are beginning to annoy me now.

Talk about trying to deflect the flak....

Like naughty schoolboys trying to tell teacher it wasn't them and to punish someone else.

While the French throw their toys out of their pram and shoot their mouths off, Merkel holds talks with Cameron

The French do themselves no favours.

This is pure political posturing. Both Sarkozy AND Cameron are guilty of playing politics with this issue. You could almost imagine them having agreed to have a spat to improve their standings at home...do not fool for this people.

Oh and whilst they squabble Europes economy (including ours) continues to implode!

Build a false premise, that Cameron "has never exhibited any traditional Conservative values/policies" and then concoct an either/or fallacy, i.e. the alternative to the false premise is that Cameron is a Socialist. A classic non sequitur. It doesn't seem too unfair to coin this particular flavour of oft employed elliptical logic and flawed reasoning as 'Huttonsian'; in fact it has a certain ring to it.

Actually, if you read my post you'll see that I actually mentioned two groups. 'Socialists' and 'EU politicians who have run out of other people's money'. I likened the latter to the former but it was a little ambiguous who I likened CMD to. My apologies ...

Dave
Horseshít. Sorry, Huttonsian.
