Can anyone suggest a good quality but reasonably priced carpet supplier ?
Need hall/stairs/landing doing.

Have used DMS before but not impressed with quality.

Any suggestions ?

Also - how do you measure up the stairs for carpets ? Do you take a tape measure & measure up & down every stair ?

Thanks

Ro.

Have a look through your yellow pages, most companies will come out measure and give you a free estimate.

measure one stair up and alongy bit and then multiply by how many stairs if you want to be exact ??

Or just tell em how many stairs you have and let them work it out !

I've been thinking about doing this too!! What about places like Carpet Right and Allied Carpets???????

They always seem to have 50% off

We had allied fit our carpets in our new house 4 and a half years ago and tbh i wouldn't use them again. They left all the off cut pieces and all the threads so before we moved in we had to clean up after the carpet layers. Also the carpets they recommended that we have that would be ok with a dog and we're stain resistant were not and stains would not come out. The carpets were wrecked within about a year.

They reccomended a carpet for our living room (a hard wearing place) & the carpet went down.....6 months on & we will need to replace it as its wearing in the entrance & looks cac.

You simply will not get a better deal form anywhere than John Lewis that Bastion of the Middle Class. Superb customer service excellent range both in colour and price and a full 25 yes indeed 25 year guarantee. Oh and free estimates.

A very happy customer with JL fitted wood in the hall and lounge, JL fitted Amitco in the kitchen and bathrooms and JL carpet everywhere else!
