Commenting last night Portillo (on News Week) mentioned two huge explosions in Iran, one of which killed 17 and wiped out buildings. He sort of hinted this could be sabotage and linked this to the Br Embassy problems out there.
Now Portillo is not given to conspiracy theories but I must say this was the first time I had heard about these.
I'd have thought it was a bit risky for the Brits to try this but the Israelis?
Any views?

One of the advisers on BBC news pretty much linked the explosions to keeping the Iranian nuclear programme in check - looks like James Bond is alive and well!
The embassy issue is almost certainly linked to the recent sabotage.
I would of thought it completely out of the question that it was a UK attack; we are just the most obvious targets for reprisals as there is neither an Israeli or US embassy in Iran
