Sex game gone wrong?
Press going to release something damaging?
Wife was leaving him after affair?
Or just simply had enough of life, depression getting the better of him?
Who knows, we probably won't find out the reasons as to why, well not just now anyway.
RIP fella, the footballing world and especially Wales will be deeply saddened.

But I don't ever think that it is not a powerful thing, and it can can take you to the edge and beyond, and a lot of the time to your grave.
Strangely, I do think when is it my time to get my first bout, and how would I deal with it? Fingers crossed, never going to happen.

If not, what are you trying to prove?

People like Carlos Tevez could do well to take a leaf out of Speed's book. Never a crossed word with anyone, dedication to his profession, always giving 100% for whoever he played for. A few reasons why he is a legend at every club he has played for. As opposed to Tevez who is regarded as a liability.

I am not trying to prove anything, just think of something logical that would drive someone to suicide. The most obvious explanation would be severe depression however this was not apparent publically. Getting on great in the Wales manager position, wife, 2 kiddies and assumptions of being financially sound.
It's the Internet, these rumours are already rife on Facebook and the likes. I guess it's just how people react into making sense of things.
None of our business of course but then neither is 90% of the stuff we read in the media.

RIP, I always feel sorry for people who have no other route in their life but to end it all with suicide, it is such a waste when really in this day and age help should be available for people to use to get them through whatever misery is causing them to feel that way.

There is help available, in my experience it is pretty useless, but you have to want to help yourself and that is the main thing

I remember watching Gary Speed playing at Home Park (Plymouth Argyle Nil's ground) in the old Second Division; bright, sunny day, full-house, The Greens chasing a play-off place with Leeds 5 or 6 points clear at the top! From memory Gordon Strachan and Vinny Jones were in the side and wearing the coolest Top Man sponsored Umbro shirts. I clearly remember the superb Leeds fans, who'd packed the Barn Park terracing, chanting Gary Speed's name and him applauding them, his long bob flopping around as he ran out on to the pitch - he must have been in his late teens, maybe twenty. My mate and I (we were 13 or 14) looked on in admiration - he played a blinder in a cracking score draw...
What a tragic exit.
What a tragic exit.

Wonder if anyone tops themselves just as they find life a pain in the ****, not depressed or even unhappy, just been there, done it and now finds it a bit of a bind ?
