Some good old fashioned discipline
Some people should not be given positions of responsibility, never mind allowed to be parents.
An American Judge, disciplining his partially disabled daughter.

seeing as it was uploaded on Oct 27th, one can assume not.
Regardless, its ****ing unreal what he does to that girl. Disproportionate is too soft a word, that is out and out child abuse. Whats wrong with taking the computer away from her?

ah, this explains it,

The wife and the daughter are interviewed together, they must be trying to take the judge to the cleaners.
Quite rightly so too.

One of the worst things I've seen in a long time. I've always been told about this, having a family member who experienced something similar, but nothing can prepare you for that.
One thing's for sure: if said family member witnessed had this, the guy would be probably disabled in some way himself now.
Managed to get to 1:27 so far. think that'll do.
The worst thing is there will always be that minority who do this, and are doing this, day in day out. Thinking about the helpless victims out there is pretty grim indeed.

There also seems to be a much younger child in the house in the opening frames.
Even the way he talks to her is violent abuse, never mind the beating.
Watch the news item - he doesn't seem to think it's that bad.
That's Texas for you!!

There seems to be two key factors here, the daughter was beaten by her parents and she has now released the tape.
The defence seems to be that the daughter has released the tape now as some kind of revenge/blackmail. Which may be true.
But, it doesn't matter, she was still inappropriately beaten by a man who sits as a judge in family law. He will pay for this for a long time to come I suspect!

I can never understand why some people think it's perfectly ok to beat the hell out of their children.

Have social services in Texas not done anything because of this?

I have 5 children
I (and my wife) have never laid even the slightest finger on them - ever
and they are immaculately behaved in every social situation (school, home, restaurants, airplanes etc etc)
if you have to resort to physical violence to babies/toddlers/children
then I am afraid you are doing something wrong
I was not beaten as a child neither was my wife, neither were any of our 7 brothers and sisters and funnily enough none of them think is OK to hit children either
