What are your top three favourite gadgets/man things?
OK - it's Friday - I am travelling and bored
I reckon for me it is
1. Macbook Air (perfect computing device)
2. Swiss Army Knife (when I worked on cars more it was my Leatherman)
3. Airport Express (have it in my bag as I travel every week and great to have my own network)

I only list stuff I can't live without. Phones, TVs, PCs meh....its needless material possesions.
Current favourite gadget/man tool of the year is my mini chain saw/ branch lopper. Electric start....now why don't they fit a starter motor to every small 2stroke? Saves alot of hassle Dispatched 3 palm trees, felled a Schum tree, lopped a pine tree and trimmed a 20ft line of 15ft tall connifiers. Cost me £190 and must have saved me over a grand in tree surgeon bills
2nd favourite...LED-lenser head torch. Absolutely superb when working underneath cars or in any situation when you need both hands (even if you do look like a prat when using it ).
3rd my Kamasa portable tool kit. I've had it for close to 20years now. They don't make them like this any more and the current Kamasa branded stuff is crap quality in comparison. Unlike many portable toolkits which have about ten useful items and eighty useless items, this one has every useful socket and spanner, UJ and extention I'm ever likely to need...in both metric and imperial in both 3/8" drive and 1/4" drive (The imperial is handy for Italian hydualic/air fittings, British plumbing, old cars, and anything America or Mexican). Took a pounding and still fine (had to rebuild the ratchets, and the linesman pliars are blunt but thats about it). Without this I'd be lugging a heavy snap-on top-box around everywhere.

jesus this is a hard list as I have so many gadgets that I love to use
In no particular order
1. Magnetic extendable tool thingy with light from Robert Dyas. Has saved me countless of times in locating and rescuing stuff that has fallen into the engine bay
2. My Macbook Pro. A real work horse, goes everywhere with me
3. iPhone- it is constantly used
4. Circular saw - dont use it as much these days but it makes me feel manly and want to wear a plaid shirt when I am using it
tons more but that will do

I don't have many electronic gadgets, so my iphone 4 is up there by default
Otherwise my Makita battery drill, it has taken enough abuse to kill half a dozen Dewalts
And I can't think of a third, how unmanly is that
