Taking everything into consideration and how our country is now - I think we may have been a little hasty with Mr Hitler

The only way for the Euro to work is to have a single financial policy across all nations. You can't have one nation throwing money away and another paying for it.

Which is why it'll never work. Italian fiscal policy being determined by Germany? I don't think so ..

It has been obvious for a while that this was going to be the direction they would take! The idiocy of the 'strength in numbers' argument is quite staggering.

Wrong in so many ways.

Would it really be a good thing for all the people to be ruled as an entity by them, or would you rather be in your own country where you have a say through the vote?

I could agree with you if our votes in this country actually counted. But thanks to the blinding awful system we have, we are nearly always governed by the minority.

Yes Martin but it is still better than being in a situation where we would only be able to vote for 10% of the Eu government which would effectively remove any imagined sign of democracy!

Agreed, but at least the 10% is proportional to our population, and the voting system used is proportional too.

Maybe we can learn a thing or two off those pesky euro-types

Yes, it means that the leaders can do exactly as they like, and the people can do nothing about it.

Absolutely. London's wasting of decades of oil tax revenues from Scottish waters is the greatest lost opportunity in the history of the UK.
