Default Adobe finally admit defeat

Well it looks like it has finally happened, Adobe appear to be abandoning Flash for all mobile platforms.

http://iphone.appleinsider.com/articles/11/11/09/adobe_rumored_to_be_abandoning_work_on_mobile_flas h_player.html

They have finally admitted defeat and are concentrating on HTML5.

LOL, I am not grovelling to someone who simply regurgitated Apple's propaganda If Steve Jobs had told you to cut your head off you would probably have considered it

I have never defended Flash as a great technology, but all I ever wanted was Flash enabled websites of which there are many to work on IOS devices and they don't. Now it would seem that Apple have forced Adobe's hand and in the long term it will probably be for the better, but right now it isn't as many Flash applications cannot be simply rewritten or ported as no similar technology exists giving cross browser support for all Flash can do.

You and others keep trotting out HTML5, but you don't really seem to understand what that is. I am sure if you read up on it a bit more you will get it Jack As for your pal hanging off your shirt tails like a little kid I doubt he is capable of understanding it LOL!

OK, Next up where's that thread where I was told I was an idiot for thinking iOS would affect the gaming market? The bloke who went full bore worked in the industry as well! One more, who said the iPhone 4s would be a flop!! iPad was a fad! I could go on.

Nobody who develops for Flash cares anyway (unless they just do website banners/adverts). We've been repackaging Flash apps into "native" apps for the various platforms, including iOS for months, so we are happy. That's right, you'll find plenty of apps on iOS that are actually Flash apps.

I care little if anything about what you think, if you do indeed have the capacity to 'think'.

Yet again you have been running your large mouth off and been picked up on it, if you cannot take a bit of ribbing then it speaks volumes about you!

best put me back on your ban list if you cannot take it which you obviously cannot - there's a good boy!

'nuff said

Well it comes to surprise to be honest when Google put no effort in working with Adobe in optimising Flash for Android, much like Apple did. IOS is one of the major platforms along side Android and one of the advantages of Android over IOS was that that it could play Flash content. When vendors collaborate on a piece of technology, it can work well. RIM worked with Adobe in fully optimising Flash for QNX on their Playbook and it works very nicely and pretty much bug free. At least with Flash it is possible to disable the plugin to stop annoying content and adverts which everyone hates, most notably the IOS fans. Will this even be possible with HTML 5?

All of which adds up to the fact you have no idea what you want me to apologise for and yet you imply I am the one who is intellectually challenged.

Now hadn't you best get back to frothing at the mouth over those nasty immigrants you despise so much!

Not really aimed at you per se, but I wish to God people on here would stop going on about HTML5 as if it is some sort of magical Flash replacement!

IT IS A SET OF WEB STANDARDS!!!!!! IT IS NOT A PRODUCT!!!!!

Lets not let the thread drift too much, this is supposed to be about me being right.

Oh and although HTML 5 is a set of standards, those standards replace the most used functions of Flash, which is great news for us all.

Adobe are **** hot, great products, apart from Flash and especially Flash mobile. The good news is Apple proved that we can live without it and now we don't have to have a resource hungry, insecure, closed environment on our devices. Thanks Steve.
