Anyone ever had this or heard of it?
Fertilised duck eggs are allowed to develop for 18 days - they are then boiled - eaten whole, hot with salt on

look vile, but that said so are monkey brains imo, but for some they are nice....
Not cruel well not in the sense we allow other animals to grow up to be killed and eaten so really no different.

yes, have seen this. Quite a delicacy in SE Asia and particularly the Philipines. Would find it difficult to eat one myself.
Preserved eggs, which look very odd, are lovely however. Just a bog standard egg with a bit of magic added, none of this foetus stuff.
