Default Pet Lovers-Fingers crossed please and advice

My lovely old Siamsese is really poorly. Cat Flu by the looks of things. We were told when we got him, years ago, he had it and it could come back in old age.
He is really unwell and we can't see the Vet until Monday.
I am in bits as my other cat (Maz) was sent to Vets Now, as my Vet does not have a hospital. He was destroyed within 2 hours. I have no faith in them and do not want Perry sent there (if needs be)
Would you find another Vet, pronto, or put faith that my own Vet can sort him out.
Perry, my baby

Have you not got a PDSA local? or any vet TBH???

Hate to say it . but the trouble with cat flu, is, it is usually fatal...

we had a kitten that go it .. it survived.... others from the litter didnt...

If the earliest you can see your vets is monday, you may allready have an outcome by then.....

hope it goes well

Didn't think our cat would survive vet visit last xmas(not cat flu, something else, vet said didn't look good at all)

he did though.......fingers crossed.I do think 99.9% of vets would do their very best to save an animal as daft as that sounds! stick with yours...unless you don't like them!

Do you have cat hospital local to you?

We have 3 cats and when one was poorly of a weekend and our vets was closed we took her to the hospital. They were brilliant.

Good luck, animals/pets become such a part of your life it is heartbreaking when something happens.

Some vets are open on a Sunday morning, the one I use is and open from 8am to midday. Have a call around and see if you can find one open this morning.

My Son has took him to our old Vets. He is on his way there now. Perry has declined rapidly overnight. I have took the cowards way out and stayed at home.
Thanks for the support people, it's really appreciated.

He is still snotting a lot and breathing is a bit difficult, but he is on Oxygen and a drip.
He has eaten and the blood tests, up to now, haven't shown anything more sinister.
Vet is going to ring us tomorrow morning and a nurse will be on duty from 7:30pm tonight. So we can ring anytime we like.
They said for a Siamese, he really is the most pleasant little cat and has been purring everytime they pass him or fuss him.
I am going back to this Vet, they are brilliant. Fingers crossed again for him tonight please.
Oh and my other cat, Rescue Jack has to have an injection, just in case. Apparently, sometimes another cat can be a carrier and Perry and Jack have been getting close, finally. Sharing the cat bed etc.
I'll update for those interested, tomorrow. I need a stiff drink now

My old Siamese (Wankee) passed away from Cat Flu about 5 years ago now. Here's hoping that yours makes it with flying colours. Beautiful cats.

Take the cat to another vet! I looked at getting a pursian cat a few years ago but found out proper pedigree cats are prone to illness more than your average moggie? So I got two lovely looking black cats for my daughter

Thank you, everyone for the good wishes. Just spoke to the Vets again and it is Cat Flu. They said they can control it nowadays. He is much improved on this morning and is becoming very vocal, a good sign.
It has really helped being able to offload onto here.
They are ringing me tomorrow with an update. It's murder how attached we become to our pets. I adore the little thing.

And sitting in the scooby whilst it was getting a wash

Glad to hear of an improvement. I know how hard it is as I lost my little female in September this year.

Relieved to hear he's perked up, Lee. Obviously he's going to need lots of fuss and attention.
