Default England players not allowed to wear Poppies?

Is this true?

The chaps on Gillette Soccer Saturday are getting all irate about this, due to 'Political' reasons, the players will not be allowed to wear Poppies for their game on the 12th November?

Ruled so by FIFA?

Shocking, IMO. They are allowed to wear black armbands, I see this as no different. More reason for people to get hacked off.

I think the FIFA's reasons are down to their rules which apply to all teams rather than anything sinister, i think there are those who will read more into this that there really is. Perhaps the England team management should have asked the question and sorted this well in advance, not left it to the last minute.

probally dont allow it because how would it look if a load of poppys fell off the players shirts and then have them all over the field to be stood on, might not even be a reason but there is that possibillity of that happening and it would'nt be a good look!!!!

Players have never been permittd to wear badges of any kind pinned to their shirts, someone is trying to make an story out of a complete non-issue here

If the FA are that bothered, they'll get shirts produced with poppies printed on

Fifa rules don't allow you to change a official kit and Fifa dont allow political, religious or commercial messages.

What possible political reason can they quote for such an edict?

I wonder if FIFA is in any way grateful ti those who made the uktimate sacrifice so that they could run their present organisation in a free world!
