So which is cheaper
Should be a simple maths question but I can`t work it out.
For electricity pay 8p per KWH ....or pay 10p per KWH for six days and have Saturdays free..which is cheaper?

Do you use more on Saturdays?
Are there electricity intensive tasks that you can move to Saturdays to take advantage? e.g. welding
Assuming the same quantity is consumed each day then (say 1kWh / day)
8p x 7days = 56p
10p x 6 days = 60p
so flat rate would be cheaper, but see comments above.

The wife suggested doing the wash and dryer stuff on Saturday to take advantage of the free day. Other than that I think the amount used is pretty much the same each day.

Plus, wouldn't you rather be out enjoying yourselves on a Saturday rather than stuck at home doing the washing ..... As I intimated above, there's a good reason the electric companies give Saturday as the "free" day !!
