Yep okay thanks for your reply, yes must admitt I personally think that a modern day equivelant would probably sell very well given the petrol situation itself. mind you personally feel it would have to be a lot bigger etc to risk being beside some off the traffic on the roads nowadays !!

Used to get around 40-50mpg.
Insurance stated that it must be kept in a locked garage with ground anchor and at work in a compound with a gate - this is std for most insurance companies. My insurance was 160 p/y
Great fun to ride on and off road but nothing like a bike, cornering took some getting used to but once perfected can be chucked around.
If i get another one i will go for a 500-700cc
Best bit was you could leave it parked pretty much anywhere as traffic wardens hadn't a clue what it was so would/could not ticket it

Wonder if people can see me in the mx sometimes
Sure I'd be squashed by a Nissan Pathfinder on day one of my outing to work in a C5
(not to mention how many speed humps I might ground it on!)

I had one when I was a kid!
They are not fast and have a range of about 10-15 miles but you can pedal it if it goes flat, you can actually pedal it faster than the motor will take you!
Price was £399 + £29 delivery when new, you'd possibly get more than that now for an as new one

My parents next door neighbour had one as he was a director of Hoovers. Used to go up and down the road on it showing off but that was about it really.

Have to say surely 4 wheels will allways win the argument with regards 2 wheel versus 4 wheels and stability ?!
I think power and lack off it was the main downside as well as looking like this when in the thing !!!!!!!!!!!!

there again you could add a bit power to it with a bit off tuning !!!

Bikes are very stable, especially on modern tyres, and are general at least as good if not better then the average car round the corners.
Certainly have got to be very much better than a quad anyway.

Well when I tried one it always felt as though it wanted to fall over on the corners.
