I have just ditched Ebay, for problems I had with a sale of mine.

Re your problem - send a message to the seller indicating you are opening a dispute for non delivery. You can do this 4 days after auction ends. The seller must always send items by recorded post because he has no leg to stand on if the buyer disputes delivery. You will get your money back, just give it time.

From your eBay purchase history you can select 'resolve a problem' and there's a FAQ and the link to raising a dispute. I think eBay say you should wait a minimum of 1 week for delivery but after than you can make a claim and it's up to the seller to prove postage and claim on his postage insurance. Since you paid with paypal there should be no issues getting your money back.

Also - you can ONLY leave positive feedback now, there is no option to leave negative (except to select "Positive" then type something negative in comments)!!!

if he's sending something of that sort of value then he must have got it signed for/tracked. I'd ask him for proof of postage before filing a claim, if he cant provide numbers etc then you're being ripped, but you cant file for a refund until 14 days after the end of sale.
