That car is a legend .
Had the pleasure of seeing it run against some Time Attack cars at Rockingham. Nobody thought Cosworths could keep with the new breed of big power 4wd Japanese cars until that thing showed up. Immense!!

interesting they dont mention the Gumball crash in the advert. I thought they abandoned the rebuild and moved onto something else.

The new Reyland Escort is a completely different car and not many of the parts from the destroyed one were carried across, I can't remember what Martin said remained of the original but it was minimal
The car is a legend, it's almost like being offered the gobstopper and it's a bargain compared to the supercars it'd destroy and then there is the fact it will never depreciate and it's worth that in parts

Suspension and brakes, easily get 5 grand, probably more TBH.
Motorsport shell with WRC bits, 10k.
Whats that, £40k so far.
Not even touched wheels, seats, electronics, fuel tank etc.
To build that car, with new parts, even if you did a DIY - I doubt you would have any change from £60k. To do a turnkey build.... 2x that prob.
