Did anyone here used to go to Life @ Bowlers?
Yep - used to go to Bowlers, the Hippodrome in Middleton and the Limit in Manchester. Plus the services afterwards
The best nights at Life were the old skool ones with Nipper, Moggy, Stu AllanBowa, John Waddicker. I remember (vaguely
) seeing the likes of Dream Frequency and N-Joi doing PAs there. Never did get to go on the indoor waltzer though - too busy dancing

This place???

I went from 93 till last year when it shut. It was a experience to say the least, some of my best memories lie within those walls.
I still have my ticket halfs from 2nd birthday, flip flop, various nye eve's right up to the millenium. I went mad for it for 3 years every weekend or other! I chilled out about 99 with it though. Still went every so often as my mate used to be resident in the drum n bass room and got me in free. I remember him being interviewed by club nation in the vip and it was one of the most funniest things i have ever seen. He was not in the best form for a interview.
They got me on the tape on the dancefloor, one of my mates still has the tape.
Such a shame the club shut down it was massive!! Anyone want a good investment?? Reopen this club!!!
as ****.

Still got every flyer and ticket from Bowlers and all the tapes, Black Magic, Mellow Yellow, Kiwi Green and many more.
Also I still have the Life come join the party sticker on my kitchen door and yes it used to be in the Scooby.
I also went on the 18-30 arranged by Key 103 with Stu Allen, the aircraft was like a Bowlers tour coach and that’s the last I remember about that holiday.
Still see a lot of the Bowlers lot around like Maps and Baz who had the red RS turbo van, Andy Harvey who was the DJ and had everybody back to his house in Longsite.
Happy days Daz.

I used to be well into the hardcore - Brisk, Dougal, Demand, Sy, etc etc. Got nearly all the classic tunes from that era - Paul Elstak, Luna-C, DJ NS, and the guys that did Fireworks, Heart of Gold etc etc - cant remember their name now

Those were the days, big tunes, big PA's and top DJ's. I remember Carl *** doing a set and the original DJ's and MC's like DJ Welley and MC Bibby, and the tunes like Jimmy Polo-Better Days, Young MC, Future Sound Of London-Papuginey and the cues to get in.
We used to turn up in a Blue Transit Van with a massive system in it and go to Rivington services afterwards or the Gym at Halifax.
Daz.
