Any cheap solutions to a cheap incar handsfree set up other than having a bluetooth headset stuck to your ear ??!! what I am looking for is a unit with its own built in speaker or something you could route the sound over the car stereo, tried the cheap chinese fm transmiter type mobile phone handfree arrangments but not overally impressed with the quality off the calls.

have seen these replacment rear view mirrors with built in handsfree features that are only around £50- anyone tried them ??


know there are units like the parrot etc that are very good at what they do but just cant justify paying so much for something that is only used very occasionally.

anyone recommend anything worth looking at that gives acceptable speech quality and does not cost a fortune ??

Nokia have a pretty good range of them, with supposedly very good voice clarity. Not so many features as the Parrot, but not nearly as pricey either.

I'm fairly sure a lot of them will work with any brand phone.

Okay cheers guys yep the supertooth looks excatly what I am after, anyone here use one ?? loud enough volume for most road situations ??

I use one, pretty good to be honest. It can also have two phones connected at once which is very handy as I have a work and personal mobile. Got mine from Carphone warehouse about a year ago for £40
