Nuclear explosion in France.
There has been an explosion at a nuclear powerstation in Avignon, France.
not sure of all the details. 1 dead apparently, for those of you who can read German the link below is about it.

Looks to be a waste reprocessing plant rather than a power station.
The first reports I've seen appear that it was a furnace that went pop - so more likely a flammable gas explosion than a nuclear incident.
If it happened anywhere else, it would make the local news and that would be it but nuclear scaremongering gets people going. We'll be back in caves soon...

Interesting that 90 minutes after I posted my initial post about this from a German website and 3/4 of an hour since I saw it on the BBC website, Sky news still hasn't mentioned it.
