First Direct - excellent service from a bank!
I had a direct debit payment go out that shouldn't have (buy now pay later thing yet they still took a payment )
Rang FD, told them what the issue was and they have put the money back. No mess no fuss.
As banking should be.
This happened to me with an ISP taking payments out of my account for 6 months after I moved provider. Halifax did everything they could to not pay me - even though they are obliged to under the DDM guarantee. Saying why didn't I notice and maybe I wanted both - what the f*ck? on the same line? numpty.
Ended up making one of the staff ring the ISP and get the ISP to admit the misstake and refund me - Halifax didn't.
