Default Pear cider-anyone made it?

Got 2 pear trees in the back garden and instead of throwing loads of them away this year like last year-i have decided to make some pear cider-anyone ever made this?was it any good and how did you make it?

Any good links to sites telling me how to make it etc?

I know a lady that likes a pear in cider. Or plums. Sometimes both.

I know it tastes good as drank it in past but i wanna make it now-found a few guides on net but one says let it mature for 8 months-ffs not sure i can wait that long.

I let my Sloe Gin mature for about 2 years before I drink it. The way to do it is to keep putting some away to mature every time you make a batch. I have Sloe Gin dated 1997 and it tastes quite outstanding, well worth the wait believe me.

I wouldn't mind having ago at brewing Beer,our dad did this yrs ago but i was too young to drink it.I remember him having these big glass brewing bottles and plastic tubing in the garden Shed,looked like some type laboratory ..

Looked at having a go at plum cider this year, (we took over 90lbs) of plums of the tree..

Unfortunatly on investigation it was found that the said reult would be very acidic, and would have required vast quantities of sugar to bring things around..
