Helmet - Primer spray paint?
Hello
Wanting to paint my helmet in prep for up and coming track days. It's a motorbike helmet and has a very over the top paint job. Wanting something very simple, just black would be nice.
What "Primer" do I need to use?
Is Halfords plastic primer ok?
Any advice please.
Thanks
Gez

What is it made from and do the warning labels say anything about not painting it?
How about 'vinyl wrapping' it in matt black or carbon fibre?
If it is fibreglass the paint will chip off easily or flake off. plastic primer may **** up the fibreglass.

Sorry, should of checked it. It's made from Polycarbonate. There is a label inside saying about damage caused by petrol or serious cleaning products.
I thought about wrapping, it's only a cheap KBC helmet and thought I could tart it up and give me a little job. Plus I do like doing a bit of spray painting
cheers

Thanks guys. Arkwright just been around collecting some tires and we got chatting about track days and he mentioned about the gold sticker. If i loose that they might not even allow me on.
I guess it's gonna have to stay its shocking paint scheme.
Thanks

it is ENGLISH you dicksplash!
For the hard of thinking (in particular you little *****) i am comparing your mum and her intimate familiarity with many, many gentleman's helmets with a well known manufacturer of many, many (crash) helmets.
Another example - Will, your mum has had more **** than a Bernard Mathews poultry processing plant - i think you get my drift
