My supplier wrote to me to advise me that they were raising my direct debit by an extra £50 per month because I owed then less than £20 (over a year). I 'charged' them £20 for the phonecall I had to make - they paid me £5 + a big sorry!

All a cunch of bunts TBH

It's the same over here for us on the other side of the world. We pay over 900AUD$ a quarter, approximately 600UKP. Not cheap at all.

What inc VAT rate are people paying per unit of electricity? Mine, I believe if 10.6p, although it was 9.99p for a good while before that.

Bloody hell, that's cheap!

E-ON have just told me that my unit cost will be going up to 25p per kwh, for the first 900kw per year (anything used after that is charged at 13p kwh) from September.

So, I've moved to npower on 22p pkwh and that's fixed until December 2012.

There's only one way prices are going so get into a fixed deal now.

Fixing the price might be a good idea. Just got the letter from E-on

I'm as tight as f*ck with the heating. It pretty much goes off from April/May and won't come back on until about October. If we need to wash up, boil the kettle. Same for shaving etc. I boil the kettle in the morning for 3 cups of coffee and enough to shave with.

WOW now i am confused my letter from eon say -

current price per kwh day rate is 27.11p going up to 30.4p for the first 900kwh

anything after that is currently 13.74p going up to 15.41p per kwh

night rate economy 7 is currently 5.27p going up to 5.91p per kwh

all + 5% vat

night rate doesnt sound much but when you can use up to a good 3-4 thousand units over winter it all adds up.

there all bobin rastards

You really can't blame the electric company bosses when they feel they ought to be earning even bigger 6 figure salaries as well as monstrous bonuses to keep up with the other bosses!
