a mate of mine has asked me to try find out a price for his engine. so here goes.

v8 ford 302 mustang rebored, new pistons. heads skimmed with a fast road cam. that is all i know at the minute .

Any thoughts?????

Thats got different heads though I suspect, and rods, and crank, and pistons, and cam, and... and....

If its a standard 302, with a fast road cam and overbore its not worth a lot, sorry.

You might be better going onto one of the kit car forums with full spec. If its a good spec and condition it might be worth a bit more you never know.

Seriously though what did you expect? Nearly five grand for an engine that 'only' makes 340bhp. For that money people would expect a little more.

i didnt say it was worth 5k . i was only asking what people thought it was worth so my mate knows what to ask for it.
i didnt ask for stupid offers especialy as it is not mine to sell and had the goons who made those offers of read the post they would have known that i asked for there thoughts on the value of the engine.

To be fair you did post a link of a recon engine at nearly £5k and the model you have is a better spec so you must be looking for offers in the region of... etc etc
