I wanted to be black for about a month and half; was in to Public Enemy, NWA, Big Daddy Kane and wore Converse basketball boots, an LA Raiders shirt and had tramlines put in my hair. What a c*nt.

It si strange how the white kids and the Asian ones all tend to adopt Black street culture, Ali G was portrayed as an Asian man trying to be black, dont know why it is so appealing to prentend you are "Gangsta", I think its easy to blame Rap music but it does keep the stereotypes going, the guys all leaning down throwing money, a Pitbull Terrier, some women there shaking there *****, anyone else think its all a bit old nowadays, they have been at it for thirty years. There used to be some message in there but the bulk now seems to be a list of designer clothes, cars, booze and candid drug, gun, violence references.
I dont see these idiots as Gangsters, proper Gangsters make money, the violence is a solution to a business problem not a way to show off, real gangsters dont make a point of telling you they have a gun, they dont walk round with some affected limp and their trousers hanging round their *****, they wear suits and keep a low profile, a 15 year old pretending his hand is a gun is just that.
I think it is all to gain some self respect and status, just a tragic, misguided way to go about it and I think in that environment it is really hard to keep away and pursue the traditional methods of gaining some fulfilment.

Chris Rock does a few good gags around this; I can't post the link from my phone - perhaps someone could oblige.

It is about time that we saw some real leadership to deal with this problem, both from the politicians and the police authorities. Any sign of this sort of behaviour should be stamped on immediately and severe punishment awarded for such shameful behaviour.
I think also the the feckless parents who have not bothered to teach discipline and consideration for others to their children should be made responsible for the repair and compensation for the vicious damage that the children are doing. That should concentrate the minds of the parents in future and make them bring up their children in a proper and seemly manner.

That what you are after ?
I think he does make some good points but its perhaps a little too simplistic and a little bit too hard hitting, it perhaps put into words what a lot of people have thought, I have worked with lots of Black people and they havent been conforming to any stereotype, just colleagues who happen to have a different skin colour. I have dont a lot of pondering of this and decided I have no actual irrational dislike of any group, its the behaviour of certain members, when you break it down most people dont just dislike a group for no reason, multi culturism doesnt seem to be an issue for Hindu's, Sikh's, Jew's, Chinese, Irish or whatever but at the moment the Black community is under scrutiny for certain aspects of its culture and some Islamic groups (mainly Pakistani's) seem to have a certain amount of criticism levelled at them, what seems to be common here is that for example Chris Rock's comedy rant and Shaid making his comments on the thread earlier show that it is not just one group disliking another, it is behaviour of certain members of a group causing the friction, if people could get past the lazy "I hate Xyx group" and just say they dislike a specific behaviour then maybe there would be progress, people taken to task about how they act without it being race based.
Rock has distanced himself from it to a certain extent but what I take from it is that just because someone is part of a group it doesnt immediately follow that they endorse the behaviour of all its members.
I know what I want to say but its kind of difficult to word, is it making any sense ?

So, although all this was 'apparently' after Mark Duggen was unlawfully killed by police, why was there only 3 bunches of flowers at the site he was killed?
Just a criminal act with an unjustified excuse!

The frikin lazy stupid moraly bankrupt gangstas are on a frekin ego trip that they cant back up hence the violence, they know they are scum and are universally hated and loathed by "right thinking individuals"
But inside the gangsta thug is a frightened confused little child, with a stunted upbringing ,most readily admit this much, but it goes further... the overly egoistic behavior is to counteract their low self esteem as usually ,no father figure means lack of self esteem deep down but this is projected as overly-egoistic behaviours,
rapping,[im bigger and better than all y'all]
posturing ,bling, dress ,intimidation[pop a cap in yo' ***]and all that **** to cover up the feeling inside
Give me 10 minutes with a gangsta wannabe cuffed to a chair and i wouldnt beat him but i,d have him a crying gibbering wreck, but not to be nasty just to show the apparent violent thug is usually a stunted mentaly challenged individual, on a self protecting unconscious ego trip, with deep pain and father issues, not allways but regularly.
As for the riots ,daddy never made them stick to the rules [he wasnt there/was never disciplined himself/...] and mum couldnt so they do as they please, and throw a hissy fit when one of their surrogate fathers or "hommie"/"gangsta"/"thieving stabbing scum" gets shot for a frikin change well boo fiickin hoo ,its ok when you stab/burgle/burn rape/pillage/murder and rob ,oh yes ,you can give the fiicker out but you cant take it , just like a little [innocent] kid , grow up for once
Strangely enough they have a nice side to them just a shame theyre a bit/lot messed up

Another point, how many of these a55wipes will be in church with their parents?
Do they believe that it will repent for sins and everything they've done will be forgiven by their lord and savour...

That video featured a gang called starish. The same gang local pillar of the community 'starish mark duggan' was a memeber of. The locals should be praising the Police for shooting such an obvious *****. These dick heads riot because in a life where they are bottom of the barrel in social terms they are trying to kid themselves that they control the area, that they have some influence on the world around them. These kids were not born into a ghetto they created one. A generation raised on glorified ganster rap, they tried to emulate what they see on rap videos and watched boyz 'n' the hood too many times.
Their aspirations are about the 'bling' and being able to bully others. I have no sympathy for them they created the gangster life, now don't complain when reality catches up with you.

I reckon there are lots of areas in the UK where they've just been looking for an excuse to have a rage against the machine. This could easily gain momentum. The Police need to be decisive against these human scum. There is never justification for smashing up your own High Street. Arrest the lot of them.

The old Bill need to stamp this all out ASAP, so far i've seen very little proactive action from them.
This WILL spread further, these low intellects need little excuse to cause trouble day-in, day-out, so this is perfect for them.

Let's be honest though, if police did start to get physical, we'd have another flare up about police brutality, when in actual fact, it is to some degree what is needed!

Just watching this on the news live and it is getting seriously out of hand. May needs to act NOW and deploy the army before it's too late! Not being party political, but she really does need to act ... some spine is required to deal with this and very very soon!

The junction at brixton where you have Acre lane, Coldharbour lane, Tulse hill, Brixton road and Brixton hill was quite a hot spot too

Well I am off out now thank goodness. By the morning there will be a scene of utter carnage in North London and May will no doubt be defending her inaction.... lessons will be learned and all that bollocks. Pathetic politicians with no ***** whatsoever!

Thanks to Tony and Cherie the Human Rights Act will make sure that doesn't happen.
