Question Bristol Airport

Anyone familiar with Bristol Airport? I'm not!

I've just got a ticket from that nice Mr Ryan for a short trip, Friday -> Monday in a few weeks.

I guess airports are airports but any tips on parking, for example, that avoid a long trek to terminal? Any local volcanoes

Anything else I should know?

Thanks, David

I seem to remember a few runway excursions a couple of years back, due to some poorly handled runway resurfacing works.

Still, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Bristol airport is ok, smalll, but its ok. Get on-site car parking dude, dont let the ******* drive your car away to park in a field. On-site, means you get to take your keys with you.

Cheers, I think I'll leave the McClaren at home just in case...

Well you'll be the first to know if there is a problem........

Your comment reminded me of an old work colleague's experience when he flew into Kano (northern Nigeria) airport.

They spent quite a time circling above when the pilot announced "Apologies for the delay ladies and gentlemen but the plane that just landed crashed and we need to wait while they clear the runway"

PITA airport for fog - but at this time of year, hopefully that will not be an issue.

Was on one flight to Bristol that had to landed at Filton due to fog, I had to travel by bus to the airport only to get a taxi back to Filton where I was working.

Use the premier parking as it is just a 3 min walk from the terminal for a few bob more.
