As an 'existing' customer with 'Virgin Media i can 'change my package' online.
This allows me to upgrade (for upgrade read PAY MORE every month ) for services i don't need or want. Unsurprisingly it doesn't allow me to down grade.
If I browse their site as a new customer, my existing package is 25% cheaper.
I sense a phone call is in order.

Why would a business want you to down grade? pay less ? if they make you call in then there is a chance you will be talked into another offer or deal ..
Nothing to do with me working for them, just sensible business.
Lots off offers to be had if you're outside your contract .. don't ask me what as I dont work in a call centre
