On a related topic, I do wonder if people, instead of paying to go in a theme park, and spending most of the day stood in a queue to go on a ride, which may last under a minute; they should instead pay for a flight in an Extra 300, for example. In terms of the £:time on the ride ratio, the aeroplane wins hands down every time, and it beats any ride you'll ever get to go on in terms of thrill factor. Of course the risks of death and/or injury are much higher than a theme ride, which although you have your doubts, is essentially a zero risk activity. And I have no idea why people scream and/or hold their arms in the air, WTF is that all about?
Whilst I've got my own PPL, I did pay to go up in a EA300 at Kemble with Ultimate High. It was by far the most exhilarating thing I've ever done, just wish I could go low level in North Wales now.

Remind me what you used to fly?

I was very lucky to have the chance-it would not happen these days.

I still remember going to Coningsby when the Lightnings were there, probably on QRA, and one did the 'party' trick whilst I was stood at the end of the runway. It's etched on to my brain - one of the most amazing things I've ever had the privilege to see, hear and feel.
