http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-b7qaSxuZUg

And this one, Love Vigilantes by New Order, at 18 seconds in the Guitar sounds exactly like the one recorded a few years later by the Lightning Seeds at 2.40 in,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6myNbk15sMs

Any more, does my head in as I hear stuff like this and I cant let it drop until I know what it sounds like.

And this, sound familiar without Googling it ?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vgEt1QB3QU

Anybody Seen My Baby by the Rolling Stones, similar to Constant Craving by k.d.lang
The Stones gave lang a song-writing credit after they realised.

you should post this on their sites and see what they say. its a shame song writters today have to use old music. Same as Cher Lloyd, smelly cat apparently.

Many hip-hop songs sample from older tunes, but I suppose this is a little different than simply sounding like something else..
Some interesting ones above and whenever I hear the start of the Oasis track I think of Imagine too.

This one is a bit subtle but if you listen to Coldplay 'Fix You'
& Simon & Garfunkles 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'
It is not a ''copy' as such but the structure of the track & the way it builds lyrically &
especially the piano part are very similar & the overall sentiment of the song is pretty much identical.

The Sweet,s Blockbuster and Bowies Gene Genie use the same riff as both songs were written by Chinn / Chapman. Steve.

Just noticed that the Raconteurs opening riff is exactly the same as Joe Jackson,s " Is she really going out with him" from 1978. ( Giving my age away now.) Steve.
