Question What is "Little Chef" like now days?

Off on hols tomorrow. Early morning start so thinking of stopping off for a Full English on the way. Tried looking for somewhere to stop and thought that a Little Chef may fit the bill. Not been to one for years and could not remember if this was the chain that recently had an overhaul. Are their places and food up to much? 2 x adults (wife is veggie) + 2 children (9+2).

Cheers

I've found the Evesham Country Park which has a restaurant that opens at 9am. Prices seem good so looks like it could be an option.

Make some sandwhiches, eat them in the car, save £30-40 and an hour, job done!

They do a nice breakfast and I quite like the place, familiar, bit of a British insitution but bugger me its expensive, only go if I can expense it as pennance for making me drive somewhere crap at stupid o clock.

My advice would be to find a large supermarket with a cafe, they usually do a decent breakfast for less than a fiver.

We stop off in Evesham regularly for breakfast on our way to Devon. We always eat at Morrisons. It's off the bypass, 2nd last roundabout heading south.

Yes, Morrison's is probably your best bet - take the right off the "Vale Park" roundabout on the Evesham bypass and go about 800 yards. There's a MaccyDs and a few other things down there as well if you dont fancy Morrissons!

Nice idea, but my eldest daughter is quite set on a full English, and I do like to break the trip up a bit as well. Plus I don't fancy the idea of all those crumbs and packets being dropped in the car

They didn't use to be too bad years ago, but not worth it for the high prices now.

It not the only place that's expensive,i was at Monmouth services a few weeks back and thought i'll nip into BK and get a couple of cheese burgers.£5.70 for 2 little crappy burgers that are gone in one bite,so i put my money back in my wallet and left.As i turned to walk back out then noticed the place was empty so was little chef next door, and i should think so fecking disgusting prices..

I went to one in Norwich once they all looked inbred

Work paid so didn't mind the rip off prices. But if I was paying I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.
