People throwing stuff from cars
There are some idiots about lately that seem it it is great fun to throw stuff at pedestrians. Earlier walking home someone decided to chuck a water balloon out of their car which hit me in the face at 20mph, this is the second time this has happened in less than a month only the last time they hit my 4 year old son instead of me. Not long ago my nephews friend was hit by a glass bottle thrown from a car resulting in a trip to hospital.
I managed to catch up with the idiots almost tonight as they got stuck at the traffic lights, I took down the reg number but my stupid predictive text has changed it I know it was k#57zsk and know the car was silver and 99% it was a nissan.
Is it even worth going to the police with just this or is it too much like hard work for them.

How would you go about finding that info out mate? or do you have to be in the industry. I may have got the nissan wrong but it was definitely silver. I was in a bit of a stress when it happened if I had remained calm I could have probably took the info down better.

I have seen Newquay run to the sun and have seen some proper nasty crap thrown from cars. From the good old fashioned **** filled johnny, to water pistols full of bleach. Thing is that is expected and anyone with any sense will stay away from there during rtts weekend.
Maybe I'm just getting grumpy in my old age as when I used to cycle I had all sorts thrown at me from half empty beer cans to mc donalds wrappers and even the odd idiot passenger trying the old clothesline , yet I brushed it off.

Walking through Harlem with the missus last year.
Missus: "It doesn't feel particularly safe!"
Me: "It's fine, love..."
Men in a beat-up old car: "You fcuckers!"
Half bottle of booze two feet in front of us: "Smash"
Me: "Honestly, it's fine...."

I had to swerve due to a pint pot launched from a Punto, got the reg and the Police went and had a word, apparently it was his drunk mate and his mums car, they got a proper bollocking apparently.
You do get this as a cyclist, they think its ok as they can get away, I just cant get my head round the lack of respect and how anyone would treat someone they have never met like that just for their amusement, usually very dumb Chavs, it does come back to haunt them sometimes.....

Am I the only one that finds this slightly funny - you getting hit in the face with a waterballon at 20mph - the look on your face would of been priceless.
However - when children are around, Big NO NO, kids should never be targeted.

It would be funny in a cartoon, but in the real world people don't generally do that to each other without any warning or as part of a game of some sort, other people are not there for amusing yourself with, imagine how you feel when someone launches something at your car.

So you have never chucked a water balloon out of window at someone, never tipped a bin full of water over somone, then covered them in flour?
Never a menthol in a bottle of somones coke?
Nair in shampoo?
Boot polish in the hair?

I would be unhappy if you happy slapped me, but thats a little different to get a waterballoon in the face.
I will admit - the Nair and boot polish were within a shared house. The water balloons were unsuspecting students, and the bucket was a women from Carillion - wasnt aiming for her but she got in the way - that was from a 2nd level window - she wasnt happy.
From your' point of view I can see that this messing about is not nice.
