MOT question.
Is a rear window wiper required to work if it is fitted to a car?
Mine is seized, spent a good part of the day regreasing it but very little improvement.
Also do they actually check that your ABS system is working during the brake test or do they just check the ABS light comes on then goes off? Again my rear ABS sensor is cooked and my mechanic is on holiday, tried removing it myself but Cpt. Rusticles has thwarted my attempts at replacing it today.

Hmmm, now how to get a refund from the police ?
They fined me as the window wiper had perished, I told them its not a legal requirment and they said to me if its there it has to work

If tested properly then the ABS lamp is difficult to spoof. The system should tell them exactly how the lamp operates (second to remain illuminated after engine start etc), so removing the bulb or insulating it and joining it to the ignition or oil pressure lamp shouldnt work...
