Default Le tour

Lots of boring flat stages so far

Shame about Wiggo, injury or not that would have ruined his GC chances.

HTC train rolls on, incredible team riding.

Shame about Wiggins. But should have kept his trap shut about his pre-tour chances, he's turning into Boardman mark 2.

Boardman? He was never a GC guy and hs team knew it.

He did however get the yellow jersey and hold several world records.

744 miles so far, 26 mph average! I'd suggest most couldn't do that speed on the flat with a tail wind. Yet these guys are eating, peeing, chatting and still going stupid speeds.

Is Wiggins a GC guy?

Boardman was fantastically talented TT rider. I'm convinced he didn't dope as but rode against a peleton where doping was endemic, I think this is why he seemed unable to recover as fast as his competitors and this is why he couldn't go the distance.

Well he has a 4th place, so yes I'd think he was.

I don't think he'd have won, but a top 5 possibly.

Is there a website where all the stages are shown?

I went to see it once when it passed within 30 miles, sat in the hot sunshine for four hours, the whole actual tour was past and gone in under 30 seconds.

Interesting watching the advertising: ever SEEN a ten foot high "La Vache qui Rit", (Laughing Cow Cheese spread), box on wheels? Well I have

Try http://www.steephill.tv/tour-de-france/#live it is where I have been streaming from, the second eurosport link seems the best out of the 2 available for uk as the first one seemed to stutter when I tried it the other day.

if you scroll up you can see more about the tour and if you want to see each stage map try the ITV4 link as they have the routes mapped out on the right of their page.(click each stage)

Cheers for that, both links good for me.

Not coming within 250 miles of me this year. I shall watch with interest though, since it DOES go along raods I know well, Pau>Lourdes and Limoux>Montpellier for two.

Our french teacher used to go overboard about the Tour de France. We spent all the french lessons following it and it was surprising how our french improved without realising it.

Le tour - a sporting event whereby a group of drug takers cycle round France seeing whose drug intake can go undetected the longest!

To liven it up they should all have to wear ******** helmet cams like the holier than thou crusader cyclists on the road and post their clips on You Tube with a special award for who can be the biggest **** to a car driver!

Drugs aside, the energy these guys expend each day is huge..............something like climbing everest every day for the length of the tour. Something I would never hope to achieve

No mention of Cavendish - two stage victories already - just moved into the top ten of all time stage winners; with more to come for sure.

He is THE world class Brit in this race. It also seems he has forgiven Wiggo for the Olympic debacle.

that was a shocking incident today, the driver should be banned from participating not only in the event but any future ones absolutley no excuse for what he did, he could have killed someone.

I covered the TDF when it came to London, I'd go again, the speed these gys go is unreal! Quite sureal seeing Gandame officers and bikes on British roads.

If you look on the below link, you'll see a couple of pics from that day.
