Got my renewal in yesterday. Last year £850 this year £3991.74. Oddly they were completely confused as to why I didn't want to renew.

I can sometimes understand why youngsters buy a £250.00 banger and take the risk of no insurance..

I take it he shoved 2 fingers up at that quote then..

benefits off being older, passed my bike test around 8 years ago, phoned for insurance and got it for £100 !! asked if it would come down the following year with 1 years ncb earned but was told sorry £100 is the cheapest policy worth doing !!!

bike was a 400 thou- vfr400 nc30- still got it- great bike !!

I posted this screen shot on the local Subaru forum when I was looking for quotes to insure Mrs T's Legacy R Spec B. I kid you not this is a genuine quotation for my 36 year old wife, with clean license, having driven since she was 19, and based on 8,000 per year.

I thought being quoted £5000 for my impreza insurance when I was 23 was bad! And that was after stating what I had been offered already (£1800 I think) and a 30 minute conversation where I gave all my details! Was not best pleased.

Well if some muppet of a moderator hadn't removed my post, you would have seen that I finally got my car insurance sorted out by a local company for £860, which I still think is madness considering the cars engine size is only 1.6!

The girl who got me this quote, explained that the reason I am having so much trouble at the minute is due to having 2 non-fault accidents in the less than 2years. What a sham insurance is, my wallets getting raped because of other peoples mistakes.

I can't understand that either. (Unless you're a greater risk because your car has a cloaking device and other drivers can't see you!) lol

Tell you one thing, the next time someone hits into me, I will most definitely be claiming for everything that I can as it just seems that the more legit you are the harder you get shafted!

Mine arrive today..

Gone up £5 odd per month 60 notes in total....

and then the extra's start...

almost adds another £100 lol

ffs i expect a courtesy car, legal protection, & the claims recovery sh*t to be in the first price not some bleeding added extra..

Well it seems my insurance company made a mistake, got a call yesterday with a very good quote that I have to admit trounced everything else which I accepted.

Absolute ****s, if only they did that in the first place!

it is funny how they can suddenly find a cheaper price...it annoys me as its the culture we are in you never get the best price until you tell them you have something better.

Why can they not just do their best first time and try to retain customers.
