Default cost of grass

Hi,

Anyone know how much grass costs?

My builders who are finishing up the building work and is saying it will cost £200 to returf! i did have grass in the garden originally, but they have destroyed it by putting bricks and other **** on it!

I also have to pay £65 to get the ground levelled!

At the time, he said it will be £100 - and i thought for a £100 i could get new grass and they could do there work with ease!..

garden size is approx 5m x 6m

I got rolls from B&Q of a metre squared for £2.30/£3'ish. So for 5 x 6 = 30m2 you're looking at £3 x 30 = £90 - depends on the state of the ground how long it takes to lay so maybe they're charging extra for labour?

Are you saying they want £265 to repair the damage they've caused to the garden?

+1

Sounds like the sort of people that knock on your door saying they were just finishing off a job in the area and had some spare bricks/ashphalt/grass etc etc left over and could do you a good deal. They damaged your property and should be responsible for making good.
