I'm trying to remember the name of an 80's film about two car salesman competing against each other.
I mostly remember it because it was a film with ***** in it (it was in my list with Trading Places, Porky's, Bachelor party etc)

I'm pretty sure their sites were opposite each other, and one of them hired strippers on their TV advertisment. Its not Cadillac Man with Robin williams, but it was the same sort of era.

Anyone remember it, or was it one of my dreams again?

Yep I remember it, that's the one I reckon. Directed by Robert Zemeckis. It was OK in its day, but doubt it will have aged too well.

seem to remember a scene with a water skiing elephant, not something you see every day.

I think the water skiing elephant was in a film called 'Honky Tonk Freeway.
