Any windsurfers on Scoobynet
I have sailed most of the world major venues in places like Maui, Barbados, South Africa, The Canaries, The Dominican Republic, Spain, and Ireland, Tiree.
With exotic names like Ho’okipa, Spreckelsville, Sotovento, Pozo, Tarifa, White Sands, Cabarete Balephuil Bay and Rhosneigr .
But I have just had a fantastic, world class blast at Sunny Hunny (Hunstanton on the Norfolk coast), blue sky, warm sea and a steady 25 knots
Simply awesome, and that’s the beauty of windsurfing, a good day on the water is as good as anywhere in the world
Anyone else out sailing today?

aren’t they just -- board shorts over a wetsuit, what the fvck is that all about
and today i saw a guy wearing a helmet shaped like a baseball cap (in carbon), have these guys no shame!!!!!
was out on a 4.7, really powered up, and it did get windier, and could easily have changed down to a 4.2, but it was a bit of a "splash and dash" as I needed to be back home by 2pm
yeah the mast size thing is a ****, it is difficult to standardise on one size, I have a 430 that takes me from 4.2 to 6.0 and a 400 for my 3.7
anyway good skills dpb

actually Hunstanton is not too bad -- port tack which is tough as I much prefer starboard tack, but apart from that quite good, and I can be rigged in 90 mins from leaving the house
but tides are an issue
but the east coast has its fare share of crap -- Frinton being the worst
i grew up sailing Wittering and Hayling, so much better on starboard
is seaford near eastborne?

yes pretty much Jack
wierd that it never hit the Ipod generation like Kitesurfing has
maybe the learning curve is too steep for winsurfing
alot of windsurfer have moved across too, I have tried it, but always go back to windsurfing

The middle aged windsurfer gone bad who's switched to kitesurfing is probably fed up with lack of force 5 on his day off , or more usually turned ghey
