Do you normally bother paying extra to seat next to each other when flying
Me and the wife are flying out to Greece at the beginning of July and she is going to be 22 weeks pregnant. Normally we don't pay extra and end up sitting next to each other. I am just thinking about paying the £30 to guaratee we are because she is pregnant this time.
What do you think?

Never in 25 years of flying all over the world
Get there early and be first in the que to check in
Job sorted
Walk with a limp and say you have just twisted your ankle and need to stretch out normally gets you the seat behind the toilet section in the centre and more leg room
And of course ask if you can upgrade to business class for a hundred pound as long as you are wearing a tie often works too

I don't know when you last used an aeroplane, but if you wait until check-in is open you might be lucky to get a seat in the toilet. Any decent airline now has check-in online sometime before the flight, usually 24 hours, sometimes days.

Is it really worth it for a few hours. If your worried because shes preggers then maybe you shouldnt be flying.
If she does drop when in flight the sight of her lying in the aisle legs akimbo would be worth seeing

I have never payed the extra, but I find it part of the fun! Moreso for the individual that gets sat next to me and my hell bat daughter.
Does she min flying? Might she be nervous because she is pregnant? If so then make sure you are next to her, but surely if you check in together as soon as you can then you will be next to each other.
My Sis got a free upgrade when we flew with Monarch, she always has extra leg room, roughly translated by many as 'I'm overweight and need as much room as I can get'!!
Basically the seat she had was by one of the exits, and even though she wasn't told, I know the exact reason for her move.
People in those seats need to be fit and healthy enough to operate the emergency door if needed.
I assume the felt that her size went against her on that!
Cue her being bumped up to some nice leather recliners and a child free flight in comfort.

If you explain the situation at check in I am sure they will accomodate you.
I remember being in a flight in the USA many years ago & being asked to move seats so a family could be together. Not a problem. They gave me 2 bottles of complimentary wine......ahhhh,the good old days.

slip the check in person a few quid so that you don't sit together and then turn around and say "sorry love but you have to sit at the back and I'm up the front

The thought of sitting in a combined space with a pregnant hormonal lady is obviously too much for you to cope with?? Lol!!

Never paid to sit next to each other. We check in online, and have always got seats next to each other, where we want them. No problems
