How I feel about tomorrow...British!!!!
Yes,bloody British!!!!
Not felt like this for about 25 years.Bunting,Union Jacks. It's like we have a good proper(legal) post war party!!!
Not really interested in wedding nor was I in Charles and Di and Fergie etc but silver Jubilee was a great street party!
So,for one day.Just one measly day,no concerns or discussions about terrorism,Muslim and Islam, petrol prices and i phones would be great
As much as I detest the St Georges cross(due to hijacking by chav footballers) I love the Union Jack and Britain good luck Wills and sexy Kate
Party on!

I agree with the OP, if there's one thing this country does best it's state events, and it makes you proud to be British, history in the making whether you like the monarchy or not!

The massive 'big fat gypsy wedding pub crawl' happening where I live will be great fun so all things considered I like that they helped inspire that event. On a personal level the pampered pair of them could drop down dead tomorrow and my feelings about their deaths would depend on wether or not there was another bank holliday.

I find the whole affair difficult as being ex-military I am very patriotic. However I am also in favour of a republic. I don't feel the royals offer any value, and in fact their perks etc are not welcome in this day and age.
Nobody I have ever debated with regarding the royals has ever gone beyond the tourism or historical argument. It's sad really. People are very quick to defend the Windsors but they don't know why.
I know I'll be torn to pieces for this but I don't care.

Yeah **** it let's have no national identity at all.
Mass immigration and human rights have basically outlawed patriotism, and it sounds like sone of you sour lot are happy about that?!
I used to be proud to be British, and like it or not the Royals are a part of our tradition, pomp and all, so as the OP says if you don't like it get back in your boxes.
I'll be celebrating because for one day the pandered minorities will hopefully get ignored and the people who see themselves as patriotic will get a chance to enjoy something fun.

Being ex military I am actually very patriotic and I also support the Monarchy as well as all the older values which seem to be falling by the wayside.
I hope all goes well today and that it will be a good day to remember both by the happy couple and all those who are looking forward to watching the ceremony.
Its a great excuse for a party too.

I am a republican.
But what really amuses me is the most republican nation on Earth is far more fascinated with the Wedding than we are!!!!
It is on 24x7 in the US. It is almost as if Michael Jackson has died.
