Default Having problems with my Breitling

I have a Breitling which is about 8 years old. It's an automatic.

It has never been great in terms of reserve power but now it has become really bad. Sometimes I take it off at night (say 2200hrs) and it stops at about 0300hrs.

Is this something that can be fixed for a reasonable cost?

Thanks

I will PM you my address, and i will take care of it for you " Trust Me "

Just put it in to your local jewellers and they will send it away for a service, and stop being so tight.

I have a Brieltling Navitimer, its very good, lasts for days... a GOOD jewellers will be able to send it away. If yours is like mine they cannot even take the case off unless the watch is in an airfree/ sterile environment so if you dont really want a £500+ bill dont bother....the first thing anyone will want to do is service it that alone is around £400!

p.s. i Dont have a Bentley...

Scoobynet nsr lives up to it's reputation I see. I ask for advice on a faulty watch and people accuse me of trying to show off that I've got a posh watch (though it's not actually that expensive), being a tight ****, and the biggest w8nker in the world tells me to w8nk more.

The point of my post was to get some idea of what it will cost. If its going to cost £500+ as someone has suggested I'm not sure I'll bother.

Anybody got anything sensible to add ie what it would realistically cost me to repair?

Yes but you also live in a rented bedsit and drive a ten year old Datsun, so what is your point?

Hey sorry that a car forum can't provide expert advice on a posh watch.

What a bunch of cvnts have replied on this thread, SN is not the place it once was sadly.

Anyway to the op, when was the last time you had the watch serviced?

My Breitling has always kept very poor time, having said that I bought an expensive watch that came with a recommendation to service after 3/4 years and nearly 6/7years later I still haven't done it. Partly down to cost and mostly laziness.

I would guess if it is stopping that quickly there is a problem that can only be solved by a full and proper service. I would only send mine off through a recognised dealer, in my case goldsmiths who I bought it off.

I have been quoted £250 for the service and a full polish of the bracelet.

what model is this for? is it a discounted service price because you bought it from them? my 6.75 seems to be gaining quite a bit and stopping sooner than it should. ive been quoted about double that to service my seamaster so this seems a very reasonable price.

I have an Omega Costellation circa 1950 that hasn't been serviced for 25 years

Keeps great time and o problems with the reserve.

Have a new (ish) Longines Hydro conquest(ace) with power reserve a bit crap

Also have a £100 pulsar automatic that is fan bloody tastic for accuracy and lasts forever on reserve

Sounds like Breitling needs to see a Jeweller!!

I think it simply needs a service (every five years is recommended). It is around £250 as indicated. Take your watch to any Breitling dealer and they will get it sorted.

I don't have a watch.

It works perfectly and never needs servicing.
