The usual debate will probably take place on the program, and there will possibly be some *****, so you new dads (or dads to be) can have a watch and pretend to care about the info

Probably is best but for me and Nat it wasn't an option. She was/isn't well currently with low iron levels even after a blood transfusion so was told not to breast feed our little 'un even if she wanted to try.
That and you can't see how much they have taken are the only two drawbacks I guess. Well and Nat has small ***** and we have a 12lb 4 week old son to feed
I'll be watching the football tonight which is a little more important than ***** for once.

We had to mix-feed due to my missus's ***** not being ready as Ethan was 6 weeks premature.
4 months in, we are now purely formula feeding.
Mix-feeding was quite a ball ache to start with - twice the time, effort etc. But I think was worth it.

Once breast feeding settles down after the first week or two the baby will take exactly what they need and the breast regulates it's flow naturally to match the babies demands. For example when it is hot, the breast naturally produces slightly more watery milk to compensate for higher thirst!
Our first struggled for a while and then breast fed confidently. The second went from 9lbs to 17lbs in 8 weeks just on breast milk
Fortunately he stopped growing quite so much after that!

He was taken to the night nursery, so I could get some rest after the birth.
I made no milk. I felt awful, but nothing I could do. Sometimes it happens.
My daughter, on the other hand, I had loads. The nurse, in her wisdom decided, while I was being stitched up, to give her a bottle. My daughter really struggled to latch after that, and I gave up.
Funny thing is, everytime she cried, my boobies leaked. Sorry boys, but that is what they are there for

My mrs is planning on breast feeding when she gives birth next month.
However, I feel that the show last night has put added pressure on her to breast feed.
It certainly seems more benificial than formula milk, but that isn't to say that formula doesn't provide the nutriants babies need.
Marie has bought all the bottle feedling gear just in case.
Watchong that 5 year old 'demand boobies' last night was just wrong in my opinion. As the lady on the show said, 'If they can eat a ham sandwich, it's time for the boobies to go away!'.

He ate solids from around 7 months.
From about 12 months he only breast fed a couple of times a day - natural weaning age is 3-5 years! The main blocker was that if he didn't get some at bedtime he wouldn't sleep and was a little sod. And then he just stopped when the OH got pregnant again.

I tried a little of the Cow&Gate stuff we have Isaac on and a little of the Mrs bitty just after he was born. There is definitely a taste difference. Bitty is more fatty but like a thin creamy taste. The formula is more artificial tasting. But that's what he's on and taking nearly 30oz at 4 weeks isn't bad
