When do girls stop growing
At what age do girls stop growing?? I think my daughter is getting pissed off as she presumed she would be taller? She is 12years old and is 5ft 3" but has started to worry she wont get any taller.
She was the tallest in her year up to about 10 years old now her friends as just shooting past. I personally don't want her to be taller than her mother wich is 5ft 7" as I think thats a good hight for a woman?
So does she have many more years to grow??

Think genes dictate what her height would be, so would probably be a mix between her biological father and mother, not what people consider a "good height" for a girl If you're tall, she's going to be taller than her mum.
BTW, my daughter is 12 (in year 7) and is a right short ****. We think she's going to have a growth spurt soon as I'm 5' 7" and her dad is 6' 2".

Average height for females is 5'4". Genes and diet are the two contributing factors. Tall parents who feed their kids crap food may give a shorter result than short parents whom feed their kid well, relative to the genetic starting point in each case.

Lee, so you thnk your daughter will grow more? I know my daughter is a bit too young to think what hieght she will be but I know friends whose daughters have been small and have never grown at all. They are about 14 years old now and about 5ft. My daughter always said she would be taller than me but I would hope not as I think thats too tall for girls ?

Your daughter is an excellent height for her age.

It's unlikely that she'll be as tall as you unless your wife is taller. There's no perfect height for women it seems, different people prefer different heights that's all.

I imagine she still has a few years left yet.
Height, hips and ***** all start to finalise around 16-18 so she still might get a bit taller.
I used to be a teeny thing when I was younger, by the time I finished secondary school I was the tallest girl for a few years.
I'm 5ft 10.
Still love my heels though

We were given a formula (I think in the official red child development book that monitors baby weights, heights mid wife visits) that shows the likely height given the parents heights and no other health issues.
We used it on our kids and we able to estimate their adult heights. But they've a long way to go yet (6 and 9 yrs old).
Edit
I think it was this...
* Add the mother's height and the father's height in either inches or centimeters.
* Add 5 inches (13 centimeters) for boys or subtract 5 inches (13 centimeters) for girls.
* Divide by two.
